It'a a mouthful, it's a gimmick, but hey - it's a Lotus!
Renowned for their feline stealth and figure-skating turns, it's very hard not to love Lotus. Lotus is pure driving joy so you can forgive them if they produce so-called special editions to keep afloat and to keep their sports cars relevant.
Because, there is no other reason for this awesome little addition, which, despite being a so-called special edition, is mechanically unchanged and not anymore special than the standard Cup 430. Only the paint job is new, dedicated to Lotus' Formula One winning days of the 60s and 70s when their racers sported Lotus green skins with bright yellow racing touches.
Underneath, all remains untouched, which isn't a bad thing: 0-100 in 3.3 seconds is still more than smiley enough, stemming from a centrally-placed V6 of epic proportions. Indeed, 321 kW feels double that in a car this light, so if you're enticed by a paint job well, you shouldn't feel bad. You and 24 other people will be more than satisfied!
Ps. It comes in white too, but what's the point of that? The original racer is green so do green bro!
