He banna! 0-100 in 1.8 seconds. Unfathomable!

A new electric vehicle by Taiwanese automaker, Xing Mobility, claims that it can race to 100km/h in 1.8 seconds. Unfathomable!

Now, can you even begin to imagine what 0-100 in 1.8 seconds must feel like? It is unfathomable, which is today’s favourite word. Unfathomable. Un-fathom-able. Rolls off the tongue, doesn’t it?

Indeed, if you had told Karl Benz, the inventor of the car, or Henry Ford, the man who brought the car to the people, that there would be a car one day that would be capable of 0-100 in 1.8 seconds, it would be absolutely (wait for it)...unfathomable.

No doubt, it is as unfathomable now as it would have been back then, which truly says a lot about how quick that time actually is, made even more unbelievable by the fact that it will be quicker to 100km/h than Lewis Hamilton’s world-beating Mercedes.

To contextualise it, think of it this way. Assuming that it takes 4 seconds or so for the Miss R to stop when travelling at 100km/h, consider this: In the time it takes South Africa’s favourite car (the Polo Vivo) to get to 100km/h, you could race the Miss R to 100km/h, then brake and stop entirely, and then race again to 200km/h, all quicker than the Polo Vivo will take to get to 100.

Indeed - unfathomable stuff!

Pity it looks like a dog though! But hey, at least it can go off and on-road, which apparently is the first electric super car with ability to do so! Sho. Who knew?
