One of the most awesome super car concepts of the year has been confirmed. Here's why that's good news.
Because look at the thing bro!
The hybrid-powered Toyota GR Super Sport is an absolute stunner as is now officially Toyota's answer to the Mercedes-Benz Project One, and will arrive with an outrageous amount of kW and Le Mans-winning pedigree.
Indeed, confirmation followed Toyota's recent Le Mans win, which is significant. It means that The GR Super Sport will officially be using Le Mans racing technology to give "customers [the] chance to get behind the wheel of this incredible machine and experience its astonishing power and driving performance.”
Yes, a hyper car designed for Le Mans can now actually be yours and isn't that just outrageously good news?
The GR Super Sport pushes out 735kW, which we're sure has more power than the sun generates per day, but hey we're not really sun guys so what do we know?
We know enough to know that 735kW stemming from a twin turbo V6, mated with set of electric motors, is a ridiculous amount of kW and is full of that stuff we love most. You know, the smiley stuff!
So, when can we expect it? 2020 most likely so watch this space.
In the meantime, check out what we had to say about it 6 months ago in the February issue of GT MAG.
