Uber bakkie launches in SA!

And it's genius...

Uber has officially launched Uber-Bakkie in SA and it's genius: Now, if ever you need a bakkie to help your cuzzie move house, all you need to do is tap-tap and there you have it: A bakkie at your front door! Ross Adami, technical diector at Uber, believes that it will revolutionise how South Africans use bakkies, from the plaasveld to Glenvista: "How often are we stuck without a bakkie and have to beg a friend to let us use theirs? Or worse - how often do we have to go through the mockery of hiring a trailer? I mean, who hires a trailer? Seriously, that's just a disgrace. "Now, all you have to do is request Uber bakkie and your local Zimbabwean will be there in a flash. As part of company policy, he will be wearing a flat cap when he arrives. "Uber Bakkie-plus drivers will even boast tribal tattoos." The move follows Toyota’s unveiling of the Yaris-based half-tonne, which will be powered by a 1.5-litre 4-pot, pushing 110kW. It will be the direct rival to the NP200 and everything that we will wish was real when we finish reading this article. Ah - alas. Ain't nothing like the dreams of April Fools. Disclaimer alert: GT MAG loves all Zimbabweans, all flat caps and all tribal tattoos.
