DP Mabuza behold! New 8-series Gran Coupé unveiled

"A 4-zone climate control means that you can privately warm your conversation while Ace cools on down just next to you."

There ain't nothing like a luxurious 4 door BMW and there ain't nothing like a senior politician to appreciate it. Jip, Deputy President David Mabuza behold: A new reason to plow on as 2nd in command - a four door sports car with South Africa's favourite badge - jip, Bavaria's finest - BMW.

It's called the 8-series Gran Coupé and it's everything you loved about the 2-door version, but now with four doors and a massive boot. Isn't that kind? Sure is.

But, hear this Mr DP. This one comes with optional rear-side and rear-window blinds, which is rather handy for a blue light brigade - or a babalas. Either or.

Then, a 4-zone climate control means that you can privately warm your conversation while Ace cools on down just next to you while he takes in the morning news. Jirre.

Worry not though, dear Sirs. A smile is pending, because if we invest - sorry, you invest in the 850i xDrive, you'll hit 100km/h in 3.9 seconds, which is quite frankly ludicrous for a car the size of a yacht. Indeed, BMW describe it as a “four-door sports car for the luxury segment” so, be assured, you won't be left underwhelmed by its ability, unlike we are with the Proteas...

Jokes aside though Mr DP, we like this BMW quite a bit and suspect that you will too. Starting at just R1.3 million-ish, you ought to love it!
